Jonathan and Kate Moore are always at the forefront of Moores’ everything that happens within this successful establishment reflects their hard work and attention to detail. Both came into the industry with a wealth of experience and it shows.

Restaurant Head Chef Jonathan Moore

Jonathan domain is the kitchen. He works hard with suppliers in daily phone calls to get the very best local produce and then turns these products into exciting dishes to go on that day’s menu. He is passionate about good food and is always looking for a way to impress his guests. Jonathan trained at many high quality establishments, including Pru Leith's Michelin starred restaurant in Kensington and the five-starred Blake's Hotel. But it was under a French chef at London’s Capital club that he really developed his passion and flair. A sharp learning experience that helped develop a young chef to the gift and talented one that is he today.
After their first child, Sophie, was born, Jonathan entered the corporate catering industry, where he tuned his fine dining and banqueting skills, catering for high profile directors in the City of London.

Moores' Front Of House

Kate runs front of house with a warm welcome and a genuine smile. Her background is retail management and staff training. Working her way up from a part time sales assistant to an area manger in control of 28 shops in the space of a couple of years. Her attention to detail ensures that the restaurant is run smoothly with all her guests’ wishes and demands fulfilled with ease and confidence. Kate places particular importance on customer service and making guests feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble – just ask. All members of staff uphold this belief which creates a happy professional atmosphere. Kate often is heard saying” Moores’ is our home and we want people to feel welcome and relaxed as they would in their own home” Over the years many many customers have agreed with this saying.

Family Run Restaurant

Jonathan and Kate have two young children, Sophie and Thomas, who attend the local school. Customers will often find themselves be greeted by one of them as Jonathan and Kate firmly believe that it is a family run business and that they are just as an important part to it. Christmas Day in particular is a family affair with many guests booking each year to enjoy the family festive atmosphere.
